How bad is low fat ice cream for me I have some every day?

The question revolves around how much ';some'; is.

Not many foods are really ';bad';, they just become bad when they cause you, on their own, to go over your calorie needs or cause you to take in too much of any substance (fat, carbs, minerals, etc.) in a given time. If you want to have more of something that is higher in fat, then you need to scale back on some other item to keep yourself in balance.

Without getting into a whole lot of number crunching, what is the serving size on the label? You could probably get away with a single serving every day without jeopardizing your weight. You just have to look at everything you eat for the day and make a sensible choice on the amount.

If this is for a ';treat'; reason, know that you'll get tired of that treat really fast if you have it daily. If this is a ';mood-driven'; desire...watch out! Mood-eating is one of the easiest ways to pack on weight, because mood doesn't know the meaning of the word 'restraint'.How bad is low fat ice cream for me I have some every day?
i agree with jle. the key to anything is moderation. if it is something you absolutely love by all means keep eating it. just don't overdo it. the only way to gain weight is by taking in more calories than you burn off.

the only other thing i would worry about is the particular ingredients. make sure that there are not a lot of additives in the processing. i would rather eat dreyers ice cream, which is made from cream, milk and sugar, than something with a laundry list of ingredients.
