Can I eat ice cream 2 days after getting my tongue pierced?

I know I did and it did not result in an infection or rejection of any sort, but this is just personal expereince, I am not sure if I should have or should not have. It did help with swelling and made me more comfertable though. Just remember to rinse after putting anything but air or water in your mouth!
